Well since I have a break between work and class, what better way to avoid doing homework than to blog (if you didn’t read my last post, one of my October goals is to not procrastinate. Fail).
This weekend was too cold to do anything! I woke up on Saturday morning and it was raining and probably around 40 degrees out… so did I go to the market? Of course not. On Saturday night I was feeling a little tired from my cold.. and it was cold and raining… so did I go out? Of course not.
un.pre.duc.tive.
On Sunday I pretty much sat on the couch all day and did homework (aka retyped my notes from powerpoint to word). But we got spoiled at Mike’s sister’s house with hot turkey, mashed potatoes, and green beans and watched the movie The Rite. It was creepy, but good
But in much more exciting news, I made delicious cookies! And they’re so not good for you but I so don’t care. Everything in moderation
I had m&ms lying around that I had to use up!
I got the recipe from here…I made one change… butter instead of shortening
Ingredients:
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 cup unsalted butter
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups m&ms
1. In a large bowl, mix sugar, eggs, butter, and vanilla thoroughly. Add flour, salt, and baking soda to creamed mixture. Blend well. Add 3/4 cups of m&ms.
2. Drop dough by teaspoonful onto cookie sheet. Slightly push a few candies on top of each dough ball with remaining candies.
3. Bake at 350 for 9-11 minutes.
Wah lah! Delicious chewy m&m cookies!
What did you do this weekend? Do you like to indulge in delicious cookies every once in a while?

Yum…m&ms in cookies are fabulous
. And I definitely like to indulge in cookies once in a while! It’s a must
If I didn’t indulge once in a while I’d be craving sweets all the time!
Oh man I haven’t had an M&M cookie in a loooong time. And yes I do indulge all the time haha.. in fact I just had a fun size snickers
yumm love snickers… I could go for one of the icecream snickers bars right about now
Of course! Cookies are my favorite! Mmm
It’s hard to have just 1.. especially when they’re right out of the oven!
I couldn’t watch that movie. eeeeek! The cover alone can give this girl nightmares!
….Those cookies look pretty darn fantastic!
I’m a weirdo who loves scary movies
I love being creeped out! but i can’t watch them by myself!!
Heck yea I indulge in cookies!
The chewy ones are my weakness. I can usually pass up crunchy ones.
Me too! If they’re crunchy I stick them in the microwave to make them softer
Of course I love to indulge in cookies!! And I have to say, M&M cookies are one of my favorites ever since having my first Keebler M&M cookie (I used to eat around the M&Ms, saving the best part for last!). Yum!
I’ve always loved m&m cookies but had never made them.. glad I changed that!
I thought it was cold this weekend, too! Whatever are we going to do come the REAL winter??
I’ll enjoy the snow for the first month… and then I’ll get really, really cranky! hahaha
Yum! I love soft chewy cookies — especially when they contain M & Ms!!!
they seem to be a weakness for a lot of people
I think indulging in delicious cookies every once in awhile is a must!
So glad I’m not the only one
except I made so many I’ll be indulging for a month!
The Rite looks SO scary! I do not think I could make it through the whole thing!
I believe that cookies should not be healthified–Go big or go home! If I want a cookie, I want it to be buttery and delicious!
oh my gosh couldn’t agree more.. there is no way i’m healthifying my cookies!
Sugar cookies with m&m’s are so good…they were always my favorite as a kid and as an adult. Love them! Especially the ones as big as your face at the mall! hahaha!
yummmm love those!!
I haven’t had m&m cookies in forever! I usually do my cookie indulging around Christmas time. There are always too many cookies in the house at the holidays. I get my fill for the year.
ohhh yeah!! My grandma makes a huge cookie platter and of course I have to try one of every kind.. even though I know what they taste like because I have them every year.. details.
M and M cookies used to be my FAVORITE treat when I was younger ! I would always request them at the mall… they had the biggest and softest, most delish ones
